The William A. Guerry Papers collection contains original drafts of Bishop Guerry's (1861-1928) sermons, articles, correspondence, speeches, and prayers from about 1907-1928 -- the last 20 years of his life. Many of Guerry's articles touch upon controversial topics such as the role of divorce in Christianity. The collection also includes the published forms of Guerry's articles, such as religious periodicals and newspapers. An interesting document in the collection outlines Bishop Guerry's investigation into the location of the American Revolutionary War General Moultrie's burial site.
